For many years, we’ve existed as 1st Financial Federal Credit Union. A name that, while common and quite institutional, didn’t tell the story of us. The story that we have been trying to tell anyone who would listen for fifty-two years.
Alltru is a name that reflects our collective ownership and demonstrates our shared integrity. We are all in this together, just as we always have been. Just as we always will be. When you succeed, so do we, and our shared successes build a better community for us all.
We know you may have lots of questions about this new change and we want to make sure you feel as comfortable and confident as we do about this change.
Has the Credit Union been bought by another financial institution?
No. We have not been sold or merged with another financial institution. We are the same cooperative that we’ve always been. We are simply changing our name to better reflect our mission and brand.
Is the Credit Union financially stable and secure?
Absolutely! We have been a strong financial institution for over 50 years and continue to be. In fact, this re-brand will allow for continued growth and stability.
Will my account number or routing number change?
No. Your member number(s), account number(s) and routing number will all remain the same.
Do I need to change my direct deposit or automatic payments?
All direct deposits, payroll deductions, automatic drafts and other ACH services are transmitted using the Credit Union’s Routing number and your account number. Since these numbers have not changed, your payments should process without any change on your part.
Will my 1st Financial Debit and Credit Cards still work?
Your current 1st Financial debit and credit card will continue to work as normal. Beginning in December 2020, when the card expires or needs to be replaced for any reason, you will be given a new Alltru card.
Will you still be apart of the Shared Branch Network?
Yes! You will still have access to over 5,000 nationwide branches and 30,000 free ATMs through the Shared Branch Network.
Will access to Online Banking or the website address change?
We will continue to use the same website address: www.TheBetterWayToBank.org and you can also use www.Alltrucu.org. The website will look different after November 17th, but you will log into online banking exactly the same way and manage your funds exactly the same as you already are.
What happens to Mobile and Online Banking?
The look and color of online and mobile banking will change with our new logo and name. All functionality will remain the same. You may need to perform an update on your app or refresh your browser to see the changes AFTER November 17, 2020.
How are these changes going to impact me?
Your credit union is getting better! We are keeping your needs in mind and the future needs of the communities we serve. New name. Same mission. Same us.
