You’ll receive a free, dedicated debit card you can use for qualifying healthcare expenses. You will also be able to manage your account with online and mobile banking.

Save on your taxes.

If your employer offers an HSA, your contributions will be taken out before taxes, which may save you money at tax time. If you’re starting your HSA on your own, you can make contributions throughout the year. We will send you a tax form showing your contributions you can use to reduce your income when you file your taxes. (Consult your tax advisor for more information.)

The HSA account holder must satisfy four requirements:

  • Be covered by a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP)
  • Not be covered by another type of insurance (unless it’s a dental or vision plan; or another qualified HDHP)
  • Not be enrolled in Medicare
  • Not be claimed as a dependent on another person’s tax return

Yes, but the funds will be subject to income tax and a 20% IRS penalty (penalty does not apply after age 65)

  • $4,300 single coverage
  • $8,550 family coverage
  • Individuals age 55 and older can make an additional $1,000 “catch-up” contribution

Contribution limit amounts are effective 1/1/25.
